Wednesday 21 April - Dj Zinc & Dynamite Mc @ Sound!

You simply cannot talk about the UK underground club scene without bringing up the name DJ ZINC. He’s one of those very, very few artists who has the incredible ability to constantly re-invent himself and come up with the goods. In the mid 90’s, Jungle was the sound of London and Zinc was at the top of the tree - as well as his massively infamous Fugees “Ready or Not” bootleg, Zinc was the man behind original killers such as “Super Sharp Shooter”.

Times changed and so did Zinc. He matured as an artist and began experimenting with different styles at different tempos. There are very few artists who can switch styles so successfully and the biggest change of all happened a couple of years ago. Zinc stopped playing D&B in clubs to focus on an original new sound, which he himself has dubbed “Crack House” - it’s a bit like he’s taken the attitude of D&B and fused it with housey beats and razor sharp percussion. Dj’s such as Jack Beats, Fake Blood, Herve and Sinden are all over it - check out his massive recent single “Wile Out” (ft. Ms Dynamite) for a taster...we are sure you’ll love it.

Alongside Zinc will be DYNAMITE MC. Although perhaps best known as the front man for the Mercury Award winning Roni Size / Reprazent, Dynamite is a superb artist in his own right and is the MC of choice for many of the UK’s top Dj’s, like Scratch Perverts, Krafty Kuts, Andy C, Roni Size and of course...Dj Zinc!
